Invasion

of the crabs!

Hi, Bloggin' Buddies!

I've been so busy with Halloween and Thanksgiving that I almost forgot to make some special treats for our annual crabfeed! It is such a fun night, with us all dressing up in costumes, parading around the lodge and eating way too much Dungeness Crab. Yum! I'm usually in charge of the table decorations (there is a contest!) so I do something fun for a centerpiece and make some type of individual treats for each place setting. I've been known to sneak a couple to the judges, too - just sayin'.......

These charmers are made fro the Lil' Inker Triangle Treat Holder Die, which is super-versatile and easy to put together once you get the hang of it) and The Sack-It Crab die from Taylored Expressions. They weren't made to go together, but it sure worked. Of course, goggly eyes add to the crabby cuteness!

I think there might be a prize in our crusty crabby future!

Thanks for the visit and have a great weekend,

Ruh-Roh!!!!

Hi, Bloggin' Buddies!

Today I have a bit of a crazy card to share. We have a friend from our hiking group who is a big
Scooby-Doo fan - so much so that he even has a Scooby-Doo lunchbox that he brings on hikes! Yikes!

Years ago I had a great stamp set from Hanna-Barbera that I had picked up at a used stamp sale but I knew I had sold it (I figured that I'd never know anyone again who loved the guy - what a fool I was!). I was so upset because I really wanted to make one more card with it for our hiker friend.

Well, a few weeks ago I was going through a box which contained some very old cards that I had made (I can't believe that I saved them) and I found one which had these images stamped, die cut and colored!

I carefully cut them off and did my best to "remake" the card to better reflect what I do now, but I was stuck with the (dated) elements. I added some Wink of Stella, a fun wobbler, some google eyes and a wonky stitched frame die cut from Lil' Inker. Not my best work, but I'm happy to have been able to do it.

Talk about a walk in the past.......

Thanks, as always, for the visit,

In Name Only

Top O' the Mornin', Blogging Buddies!

I have always loved my name (thanks, Mom), which is Irish. That is the only thing Irish about me. I am of Scottish and English decent, but I am All-American. I even have a great-grandfather who signed the Declaration of Independence.

But, today we are all Irish, right? I have a beading class today and I thought I'd bring the gals a little holiday treat. I used my new Lil' Inker "Lilipop & Pencil Treat Holder Die" for these gems. I didn't have a leprechaun stamp, so I figured a green frog with a hat would work.   What fun!

Other products used are:
  • Hero Arts - Celebrate Everyday CL498 and Dotted Shamrock A5018; shadow inks
  • Paper Smooches - A Little Lovin', with the dies, and Hats dies
  • American Crafts - Premium Ribbon
Have a great St. Patrick's Day - don't get pinched!
Thanks for the visit,
