the BLING!
Hello, Bloggin' Buddies!
I normally try to stick to card-making here, but I do have another passion - jewelry-making. I have been doing it since I was a (wanna be) hippie gal in high school in the 1960's. I used to pound out copper wire on an old brick to make earrings.
Anyway, I now am involved with a great group of bead-living gals and I have been getting back to some jewelry-making. My tastes and style have sure changed over the years.
I went "Big and Bold" (as some would say I am!) for this latest wearable art I created. I can't wait to wear it! The great part is that it isn't as heavy as it looks.
Hope you are having a great week!

Another Hobby
Hi, Bloggin' Buddies!
I usually keep to card making here, but I want to share with you a necklace I recently completed. I have made jewelry since my hippie days of the 1960's, but never with this intense level of tiny beadwork.
I do love it, but doubt that it is a design I will repeat. It is just too labor-intensive and those holes are so tiny!

This has such a cool wiggle - perfect for a mermaid!
Thanks for the visit! Back soon with more cards.

Howdy, Partner!
I have been so focused on making cards the last year or so that I have neglected one of my other passions, jewelry making! Well, today is the day! And there is a story.
On Sunday we are going to an event in the Napa Wine Country. We won tickets last fall at a charity fund-raiser for dinner at a local winery, the Tudal Family Winery. The theme is "Tudal, Tractors and Texas". One of their popular wines is called "Tractor Shed Red" - cute, eh? The food will be Tex-Mex barbeque and the music will be country. Not our normal style, but what the heck, it is for a good cause and should be fun!
I was at the fabric store the other day and happened to see some perfect metallic "Lone Star" buttons on clearance. Perfect opportunity! So, I got out my long-neglected tools and went to town - or, country! The picture isn't great, but you get the "hang of it"!
I almost forgot! Check out the amazing bag I will be carrying. Another one of my fantastic garage sale finds!
Thanks for hankerin' by.....I will fill you in (hopefully with some pix) next week. Enjoy!
