Washi Tape. I was thinking about why I hardly ever use it. First I thought it was because I didn't have a large enough selection, so I bought some more. Then, I thought it might be because I didn't keep it handy enough, so I bought this cool little birdbath thingy to hold it and sit on my crafting desk.Well, I've finally figured it out. It is because I am such a neat and tidy freak! I want to straighten out all the rough edges and make everything clean orderly, and that is just not the beauty of washi tape!
So, I decided to take on the current challenge at Simon Says Stamp. My new Hero Arts stamps finally arrived on Saturday - YAY! No surprise that the first one I wanted to ink up was a typewriter (CL676, Typewriter Notes). Because the stamp is new, I am putting this card into the current Hero Arts contest, "Try Something New".Join in the fun!
I made a set of notecards in pink and yellow. Can you believe that I actually have washi tape with vintage typewriters?
This is about as close to CAS as this girl gets. What a struggle. Thanks, SSS, for really challenging me.I hope you have a great day. This is a good day to honor the dream and keep the memory alive.
Thanks for stopping in,

Aw... Maureen, you ACED the challenge! I really like how you used the Washi tape with the a little image of the typewriter! And your display of the Washi is fabulous! I always leave mine right out ( the display is not as pretty as yours), but I can readily see and use them whenever the projects call for. And I cherish the pretty one that you sent me :)
Well, you have certainly overcome (sorry for the pun) your aversion for using washi! Love that you actually have some with typewriters on it! Great card.
Love what you did with the washi tape. Great card!!
Love your washi tape card!
Wonderful set of cards, Maureen! Way to go challenging yourself to just leave those torn edges ALONE! hee, hee! And yes! I DO believe you have typewriter washi tape - love it! Wonder if Lisa Spangler has it too. . . hmmm? :)
Oh so cute!! The typewriter Washi tape and typewriter stamp, what a fun pairing!
I'm with you Maureen! I'm no good at leaving torn edges- goes against my grain:). Good for you to challenge yourself! I really love your design and I think it's awesome you own washi tape with typewriters on it! And I adore what you're using to hold your tapes! P.S. Saw your email- I've got your possible visit on my calendar!!! So excited!!
Oh, Maureen, I think you used the washi PERFECTLY! Your cards are just fabulous... spot-on design, and I love the colors, too! :) Thanks for playing along with our "Washi Tape" challenge over at Simon Says Stamp! xo
The cards and the way you used the washi tape came out very nice! Maybe this will get me going using mine.
Just love this set of cards you made Maureen. The colours work amazing well with your washi and the antique typewriter. If I hadn't seen them I wouldn't have ever thought they could!
Aah! The perfect Washi tape for this card Maureen and I love that typewriter as a focus point! Great colours by the way!
CAS is soooooo hard! I think you did a great job though......and good for you to stretch your card making skills!
It's taken me a while to get on the washi bandwagon too but I'm really enjoying it now - it's such a fun embellishment! I love your washi holder - so fun and funky! I'm still trying to figure out a solution for mine... As for these cards - I'm in love! LOVE the bold card bases, LOVE the way you spotlighted the typewriter stamp and the washi tape is used to perfection! I feel a serious CASE coming on...
