Kraftiness

Hi, Bloggin' Buddies!

Just a very quick between road trips to share with you the little bags I put together for a neighborhood ladies luncheon we had yesterday. Each bag contains two handmade cards. I just love the black ink on the kraft paper! The stamps are from Hero Arts and Altenew.

We are having a great summer (we just returned from the beautiful North Shore of Lake Tahoe and are now headed to California's Central Coast!) and I'll return to posting upon our return.

Take care and keep crafting!

Mixing it Up with Ellen

Hello, Bloggin' Buddies!

Today I mixed it up with Essentials by Ellen and Paper Smooches - two of my all-time favorite stamp companies!

This is for the current "Mix It Up Challenge" at Ellen Hutson's CLASSroom. Check it out and join in the fun.

I have used (for the background and the sentiment) Ellen's "Mondo Magnolia" set by Julie Ebersole and "Gift Tags" dies, "Stitched" dies and "Chubby Chums" stamp and die by Kim at Paper Smooches. So dang cute!

I used some mango ink (Memories) and cardstock (Stamping' Up), white embossing powder (Hero Arts), and Copic pens.

Thanks for the sweet visit!

Dotty!

Hi, Bloggin' Buddies!

Happy Sunday! Hope you are having a great weekend. I have a quick post today of a card that I recently made for a bird-watching friend. I was inspired by the current challenge at  Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog - it is "Going Dotty".

I have used an older Hero Arts stamp for a simple and easy-to-mail design. We have lots of quail (not only are they adorable, but they are California's state bird) in our neighborhood and this cute guy reminds me of them.

Have a great week and thanks for the visit!

Happy Birthday USA!

Hello, dear Bloggin' Buddies:

Just a quick post this morning to say Happy Fourth of July to my USA friends. I thought I was done with my holiday crafting (and - YAY! - my "Celebrate" card won the last challenge at Art Impressions!) but then I learned that our low impact aerobics class was not going to be canceled for the holiday. To celebrate that we are exercising on America's birthday, I made some special little treats for all those in attendance. Nothing too naughty, since we are all into health and exercise!

I made these using a die set from Lil'inker (Lollipop and Pencil Treat Holder Die) and a wonderful stamp set from Tim Holtz (Americana Blueprint).

I used my MISTI to mass-produce about 20 of these - it makes it so easy!

I quickly colored them with Copics and added a delicious See's Candy lollipop (one of California's greatest companies - YUM!), added some ribbon and a little sparkle and they were done.

This is headed for the current challenge at "Decorate to Celebrate", which is Anything Goes! What's not to celebrate, eh?!

Have a safe and sane holiday - thanks for the visit.
